A 33-year-old female banker has been arrested for killing her two children at Osumenyi Street, Omagba Phase 2, Onitsha, Anambra state. The suspect, a banker, identified as Chinasa Orizu, was said to have killed the two kids, 4-year old daughter Chisom and 4-month-old son Kamsiyochukwu, with a sledgehammer. The suspect had earlier threatened to kill the children after a misunderstanding she had with the husband. A neighbor who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the suspect had sent her house-help on an errand to enable her carry out her intention. “Few minutes after the maid stepped out, she took a sledgehammer and hit her daughter on the head and she died instantly. It was while she was hitting the four- month-old son that the maid returned from the errand, and immediately she saw her, she screamed and ran away,” the source said, adding that the suspect ran after the maid, to kill her too, but the maid succeeded in escaping and raised the alarm that attracted other n

Tuesday March 7 2017 was a bloody day at Ile_ife in Osun state Nigeria. As the yorubas launched an attack on the Hausas and Fulanis. According to the reports, areas that were most volatile with the clash are the Sabo, Lagere, and Olaoluwa areas of Ile-Ife, Osun state. In all fairness, the Hausa/Fulani community in Osun State was not responsible for yesterday’s slaughter. The reason for the clash was that Hausa/Fulani men were harassing the wives of Yoruba extraction. They accused them, without proof, of raping and harassing wives of Yoruba men in the Sabo area of Ile-Ife. As a result of this rumor, some Yoruba men ganged up and attacked their Hausa community. The clash started on Tuesday but ended on Wednesday (if it has ended). To the chagrin of everyone, the police did nothing to it on Tuesday. Nollywood star actor Emeka Ike and estranged wife Emma, are officially divorced. Their 14 years marriage was dissolved today by the Laos island customary court. In 2015, Emma asked for a divorce in court on the grounds of physical abuse. Emeka who said he doesn't believe in divorce fought against it, but the President of the court Awos Awosola granted Emma's request today. He stated today in court "Emeka who has been begging to reconcile with his wife, has not made any effort towards the reconciliation. The marriage is hereby dissolved with effect from March 2, in accordance with the Lagos state customary court of Law 2011; order 3 rule 7 as amended. Any party that's not satisfied with the judgment has the right to appeal to any court of higher jurisdiction within 30 days from today."
